Manama: Two Saudi military men had the scare of their lives after their jumping training went terribly wrong.
The two men jumped from the military plane during an exercise, but as their parachutes opened, they became tangled together, putting their lives at high risk.
However, they were lucky and were able to land safely.
The incident was recorded by a cameraman and his assistant who heightened the drama as they reacted to the mishap before erupting into euphoria when the two airmen arrived on the ground safely.
The clip went viral on the Net and Saudi social media users posted their support and sympathy.
“These men are our rela assets,” Abu Dhari, a blogger, said. “The latest events that have unfolded in the region have clearly shown that these brave men are the defenders of our nation.”
A blogger, writing under the moniker of “Sarem” said that people must have deep faith in God in order to have peace of mind.
“We praise God for their safety, and people should always remember that He is the most merciful,” he posted. “God’s protection is extended to us whether we are on land, in the air or on sea. Be with God and you shall not be concerned about anything,” he said.
