Muscat: Three men have been arrested for robbing 52,000 riyals from a vehicle belonging to an expatriate in Saham province, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP) report.

The initial investigation showed that the first suspect, an Omani, attacked the victim and opened the door of the vehicle by force and robbed the money. The suspect then fled the scene in cooperation with two Bangladeshi accomplices. The first accused was arrested in Saham, while the second was arrested in Dhakliyah region after intensive manhunt.

The third suspect was arrested in a neighbouring country following a tip-off.

Meanwhile, an Omani national has been arrested for setting on fire a citizen’s vehicle in Sohar province. The accused admitted that he did so due to a personal dispute with the vehicle’s owner.
