Muscat: Bait Al Zubair Museum will host an event called Qaranqashow, a show for children on the 14th day of Ramadan.

Traditionally in Oman, during Ramadan, children visit houses in their neighbourhood, sing songs and receive sweets. In the past few years, the Qaranqashow night has become a popular attraction at Bait Al Zubair. The museum expects to receive more than 1,500 children this year.

Meanwhile, the museum will remain open for visitors from Saturday to Thursday from 9.30am to 2.30pm during Ramadan.

It will resume normal operating hours from 9.30am to 6pm from the second day of Eid Al Fitr, according to a press release.

“We look forward to welcoming guests during Ramadan and invite them to discover Oman’s traditional heritage as well as the contemporary art scene,” said Abdullah Al Bu Saidi, assistant manager, human resources and administration.

“During Ramadan, we host several iftar events for different groups and companies, as they enjoy the contemporary and traditional settings available in the museum.”
