Manama: The development process in Bahrain is moving forward on the right track despite the current economic challenges, Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa said.

The projects being implemented to develop infrastructure of energy, housing, health and education sectors are a living proof of vitality of the Bahraini economy and of the sustainability of its progress in a way that meets the needs of Bahraini citizens for a decent life, Prince Khalifa said.

The projects are well on their path to bring about new successes in fulfilling the aspirations of the people and in upgrading the standards of housing, education and health services in the kingdom, the prime minister added, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

Prince Khalifa was receiving senior state officials as he made the statements.

The prime minister called for concerted efforts from all sides to speed up the implementation of the projects in order to ensure they are not delayed and they are completed according to schedules.

During the talks, Prince Khalifa highlighted the role of Bahraini families in the reinforcement of development efforts in various fields, and lauded the genuine values of the Bahraini society that promote interaction, cohesion and unity.

During a review of the latest regional and international developments in the midst of the multiple threats to the region, Prince Khalifa lauded the role played by Saudi Arabia, referring to the vast kingdom as the shield protecting the region from the schemes aimed at fragmenting and dividing the Arab and Islamic nations.
