Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday issued a notice to Ronanki Gopalakrishna who had secured third rank in the All India Civil Services examinations.

The court issued notices to him, the Central and Andhra Pradesh governments and the Union Public Service Commission on a petition alleging that Gopalakrishna had secured a physically handicapped certificate falsely.

An advocate from Hyderabad Muralikrishna in his petition alleged that though he was fully fit, Gopalakrishna had secured a certificate of being 45 per cent disabled in legs.

The advocate alleged that the certificate helped him in securing the third rank in the examination.

The High Court directed all the respondents to reply to the notices at the earliest and posted the next hearing after three weeks.
