ONE&ONLY DEBUTING IN BAHRAIN
Kerzner International’s luxury hotel and resort line is opening its first property in the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2016. The One&Only Seef will have around 150 guest rooms and suites, in addition to villas and estates, a private beachfront and a spa. Seef is on the northwestern coast of the island nation. The property will showcase “Bahrain’s rich history and reflect the local culture with a design appeal to attract the contemporary traveller seeking ultimate luxury”; there will also be on-site shopping and space for families with children. This will be the ninth One&Only worldwide, with two more new properties to follow in Sanya, China and Portonovi in Montenegro.
RAFFLES OPENS IN ISTANBUL
The iconic Singapore hotel has spread its wings to the Turkish city, with its latest property, which opened on Monday. The Raffles Istanbul is at the Zorlu Center on the city’s European shore, overlooking the Bosphorus. With 132 guestrooms and 49 suites, the hotel has Turkish and contemporary design indoors and furnished private terraces and balconies outside. There are two restaurants (Arola, by Michelin-starred Spanish chef Sergi Arola; and Rocca, an all-day dining Turkish and Mediterranean outlet), two bars (including the Long Bar, inspired by the original in Singapore), a patisserie and a spa.
