Cricketer Yuvraj Singh walked the ramp for designer Arjun Khanna at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Winter/Festive 2014 in Mumbai on Saturday.
Singh took to the ramp with elan. The cricketer made his entry dressed as a biker in a glittering jacket wearing a covered helmet. Twenty-eight helmet-clad men also marched down the ramp.
Khanna’s collection involved high-end couture techniques merged with contrasting fabrics. So, leather, suede, lightweight wool and corduroy were creatively combined in one jacket. Texturing techniques and superb tailoring were visible throughout the line of 30 garments.
Cropped jackets, trousers and shirts were offered in masculine colours of the season. Black was seen in 10 shades along with brown, olive, blue and bursts of off-white, while hints of red were thrown in occasionally.
Metal additions such as zippers, rivets and chains added to the strong but fashionable look of the collection; detailing on trousers was intricate and innovative.
The Lakme Fashion Week ends on August 24 (Sunday).
