Emma Watson

Emma Watson’s refreshing style shone through in 2014 and is my top pick for one to watch out for in 2015.

The former Harry Potter star pulled off the demure look to a tee this year, with her one-length layers and extended side-fringe.

Emma kicked off the year with an elegant, feminine up-do worn neatly in a side-parting, as seen at the Golden Globes in January.

Fine wisps covered her ears, adding some softness to the overall look. Emma was also seen at the Spanish premiere of her film Noah, vamping up her hair in an extreme side sweep. Her hair was clipped behind the ear on the other side and, she completed this look with a dramatic deep maroon lip colour.

In December, the star of The Bling Ring brought a touch of vintage glamour to the British Fashion Awards, with side-swept ringlets and dark, bushy groomed brows; showing just how many diverse ways a simple style can be worn.

Blake Lively

Stunning American actress Blake Lively has showcased a variety of top styles.

A personal favourite was the one she sported to the Met Ball, where Blake was seen in a glamorous hairstyle. She wore her hair down in loose curls and a side parting worn looking resplendent as ever.

The hairstyle oozed vibrance and truly chanelled the Old Hollywood era. Following her breath-taking appearance at the Met Ball, Blake was seen in the summer wearing one of the most popular braids of the year; the fishtail braid.

Although Blake has fairly fine hair, she has plenty ofit; this works well when constructing a fishtail braid as the finer the strands of hair, the more intricate and sophisticated the plait will look.

She also experimented with having her hair up in a ponytail; working the style like a pro, Blake always covered the hairband with a section of her hair. The best way to achieve this would be to section off some hair, twist the section around the base of the ponytail and pin the hair with grips. An extra tip would be to use hair-colured grips for an even greater illusion.

Jacqueline Fernandez

One of Bollywood’s rising divas and leading lady in films such as Housefull, Race, Kick, has always been spotted wearing her hair stylishly well.

Last year was no exception, as Jacqueline showed off her gorgeous free-flowing locks worn in a simple yet smart side-parting.

I recommend using a moisturising conditioner if you have long, thick hair like the actress, to prevent hair from becoming dry and breaking. Also effective is using a

water-based hair moisturiser and then sealing it in using a hair oil or hair butter. The moisture will be locked in leaving the tresses luxuriously rich and glowing.

Never failing to experiment with something new, Jacqueline took the plunge and sported a short, sweeping side-fringe cut this year. A sweeping side-fringe can add another chic dimension to a hair style, it most certainly gives Miss Fernandez a fiery edge!
