Let the French fashion takeover continue. The latest store to capture everyone’s attention overseas has now opened at The Dubai Mall. Kooples became famous for its advertising, which features real-life (very trendy, nay, hipster) couples wearing the designs of brothers Alexandre, Laurent and Raphael Elicha. The pieces are the French street classics — slim-fit blazers, shirts, soft t-shirts and tight black jeans — for men and women. Their heritage is pretty solid too: Their mother launched Comptoir des Cotonniers, whose advertising features mother-daughter pairs in similar clothing. Keep it in the family.

Hilfiger Collection

Tommy Hilfiger’s premium women’s collection landed in the Mall of the Emirates earlier this month, the only outlet in the Middle East to stock the range. These are the pieces that Hilfiger shows on the catwalk during New York Fashion Week in February and September, although they are made in Italy.

“Our consumers in the Middle East have always appreciated the quality, luxury, versatility and sophistication of our designs,” said Hilfiger. Hilfiger Collection introduces an elevated interpretation of our ‘classic American cool’ spirit that further emphasises our presence in the market as “a premium designer brand”.
