Can you buy a smartphone for less than Dh100? Answer: Oh, yes!
Someone on Twitter sent me on a Mission Impossible to hunt for best smartphone deals. I thought I’d make it more challenging by trying to find the cheapest ones available.
Get this India-made Lava hot off the Emax shelf for only Dh179 (below, left). It runs on Android OS Jeallybean and features dual sim and 1 GHZ dual core processor with 2GB built-in memory expandable to 32GB Dh179.
Huawei Ascend (below, right) is available at Sharaf DG for Dh189. The smartphone runs on Android OS Kitkat and includes optional dual sim, Wi-Fi connectivity, 4GB and 512 MB Ram with a microSD up to 32GB. Plus you get a UAE Royals merchandise for free.
XTouch Ocean is on sale at Plug Ins for only Dh99 (was Dh219). The unbelievably cheap smartphone features dual core 1.3GHz and runs on Android 4.2. It also has a 3.5" HVGA Screen.
Eros is throwing in a dual car charger and a Dh100 gift voucher if you buy the Samsung Galaxy Star 2 for Dh299. The smartphone runs on Android OS Kitkat with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB built-in memory, expandable to 32GB.
