If you're a kitchen klutz like me, acquiring some cooking skills this Eid might not be a bad idea. For starters, you can attend the Chef’s Palette by Gaggenau cooking classes at Fairmont The Palm, covering Arabic cuisine, traditional sushi, Mediterranean seafood creations, pastries and desserts.
An interactive session covers two hours and is available for small groups of up to 12 people in their beautiful state-of-the-art kitchen (yes, like the ones you see on TV shows). Get your kids more active
Check in your kids at Dubai Sports City's Football Academy as it prepares for its multiple progammes to kick off. Kart racing in Al Ain
If you're feeling adventurous, you can sign up for the UAE Rotax MAX Challenge and get your racing gear on. The event is open to amateur kart-drivers and will see you improve your kart driving and racing skills over 13 rounds on the 1.6-km track at Al Ain Raceway. The event begins on October 7.
