The latest unofficial results of FHM Philippines' 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll show Marian Rivera leading the pack. The former winner and rival Angel Locsin slipped to fourth, behind Katrina Halili and Iwa Moto.
Since Marian bagged the coveted Marimar role, her career has blossomed while Angel's (who was tipped to get the role but left her home network) has cooled off a bit.
Marian is now the toast of the town. Oddly, Marian has never been on the cover of the hugely popular magazine.
In a recent interview, she was quoted as saying she will finally agree to be featured on the cover of the mag if she wins the poll.
Guess, her fans are all eagerly waiting, until the official results are announced next month.
Controversial Baretto
Meanwhile, Gretchen Baretto has a knack for getting herself into controversial situations and making the silliest of remarks. Almost like Kris Aquino before she toned it down.
Gretchen, widely acknowledged as one of loveliest faces in Philippine showbusiness, had a girls' night out with best pal Ruffa Gutierrez, sis Marjorie, and another friend at Dusit Hotel in Makati City that turned into a nightmare after Gretchen's platinum credit card was, um, declined. The amount? A paltry Dh390.
The humiliated actress confronted the waiter and told him, quite indignantly, to try again because, in her words, “We own the bank!"
