Nucleya, one of India’s biggest DJs, will take to the decks in Dubai on January 26 at Nasimi Beach, Atlantis The Palm Jumeirah to celebrate the Indian Republic Day with fans.

Titled Nucleya: Sub Cinema, the event is said to be an audio-visual spectacle that has been created by the EDM artist for his Dubai gig.

The hit maker is best known for the track Tamil Fever — a Benny Dayal collaboration that was given a Bollywood makeover by Karan Johar for his film Kapoor & Sons and transformed into Let’s Nacho. His albums, including Bass Rani and Raja Baja, shot up the Indian charts, while the artist rocked up gigs at some of the biggest music festivals in the world, including Glastonbury, UK and Sunburn in India.

Nucleya, whose real name is Udyan Sagar, first shot to fame in the late ’90s when he cofounded Bandish Projekt that infused electronic beats into Indian classical compositions. Since then, he has released nearly 10 studio albums and numerous collaborations. Last year, a documentary on his life premiered on VH1 and Red Bull TV, titled Ride to the Roots.

The artist will also be launching a new album in October of this year, which he announced last week across his social media platforms.

Tickets for his Dubai gig start at Dh100 and are available online, with the event kicking off at 7pm.
