We recently lost the chance to see Zayn Malik and Selena Gomez live in Dubai, after they cancelled their concerts in the city. But guess what? We can now enjoy our cake by the Burj Khalifa.

DNCE, pronounced ‘dance’, comprising of Joe Jonas and his good friends Jack Lawless, Cole Whittle and JinJoo Lee, will perform at the Halloween-themed Fiesta De Los Muertos on October 28 at the Autism Rocks Arena. They join Major Lazer, All Saints, The Mariachis and Dubai EDM duo Hollophonic.

Formed in 2015, DNCE was born from Jonas’ long-brewing plan to launch an offbeat pop project inspired by the melodic R’n’B of Earth, Wind & Fire and Hall & Oates. They are best known for their international hit Cake by the Ocean.

“I had this vision for about five or six years, but I took some time to hit the reset button and figure out what I wanted to do next,” says Jonas, whose former group the Jonas Brothers started in 2005, went on to sell more than 17 million albums worldwide, and parted ways in 2013. “Once we got going on making this new music. It all just fell together so perfectly.”

“With DNCE now on the bill we are also thrilled to welcoming Joe Jonas to Dubai for the very first time,” said Thomas Ovesen, the CEO of organiser 117 Live.

Tickets, starting at Dh350, are now on sale on 117live.com.
