Autism Rocks Arena will permanently become a dry venue starting this month, owners Al Ahli Holding Group (AAHG) announced in a statement on Wednesday.

The official statement was released ahead of a Jennifer Lopez performance on Friday night and an Ed Sheeran show on November 23.

Last month, AAHG announced that Fiesta De Los Muertos, a Halloween-themed music festival attended by Stormzy, The Gorillaz and Carly Rae Jepsen, would be a dry event. They made no further comment about upcoming events at the time.

“As actors, singers and performers, the artists continue to influence a generation of pop music fans, across all ages,” their latest statement read.

“Judging by the attendees at the previous concerts and looking at the demographic of ticket buyers this year, it has become clear that music festivals and concerts attract an abundance of families, teens and children.”

For refunds, ticket-holders can get in touch with concert organisers 117Live.
