IF IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY TODAY

It’s the rare Leo who objects to a disagreement. Being a fire sign, you thrive on the passion such clashes arouse and, even more, feel they clear the air in a way civilised exchanges can’t. Still, with the relationship-minded Venus at odds with expansive Jupiter, those encounters could go too far, exaggerating the facts or feelings involved. Before you speak, think carefully about what you say. Ensure your words are always constructive, and you’ll avoid saying anything you’d later regret.

Aries March 20 – April 18

Last Sunday, the planet of ideas and communication, Mercury, went retrograde. This cycle of reverse motion lasts until early September, and during this period changes and unexpected twists are inevitable. Knowing that, you’re urged to regard whatever you arrange as tentative and, ideally, to organise plans so they can be easily altered.

Taurus April 19 – May 19

When you first neglected to mention certain facts, it was both because you knew they would rouse questions if not concerns. But, equally, you were aware changes in circumstances could mean reviewing arrangements anyway. Unsettling as this would be, because existing plans are outdated, a rethink of this nature would be timely.

Gemini May 20 – June 20

By no means are you stubborn in your thinking or your habits. Despite that, there are a few areas of your life you’ve struggled to organise, so don’t welcome the idea of change. Yet, because August’s two eclipses accent such matters, the time has come to reconsider your approach to these.

Cancer June 21 – July 21

As a Cancerian and somebody ruled by the Moon, you’d think you’d have an intuitive understanding of the influence of August’s two eclipses. However, these are about breakthroughs, which means they’ll be as mysterious to you as everybody else, at least until you do a little serious investigation and learn more about them.

Leo July 22 – August 21

Obviously, life is easier if you can organise plans, both in the here and how and for the long term. But with so much in flux, you’re unsure what you’ll be able to do, even next week. For now, you’re urged to keep things loose. The more freedom you have to explore your options, the better.

Virgo August 22 – September 21

Sometimes obstacles are no more than that. But at the moment certain of the problems you’re facing are an invitation to review arrangements that have become more of a burden than an asset. The real problem is you haven’t noticed until now. Don’t ignore these. It may be time to let them go.

Libra September 22 – October 22

As a Libra, and somebody who is probably more aware of the reactions of others than the rest of the signs, disappointing anybody seems a failure. Yet not only will you have to do that, and probably several times, in certain situations, you’ll also be unable to apologise or even say much.

Scorpio October 23 – November 21

Urgent as dealing with certain tricky situations seems, these aren’t as serious as they appear to be. The real issue is that they’re preventing you pursuing something you care about. Discuss this with an unaccustomed openness with the individuals involved. You’ll be amazed how understanding they are and, even more, willing to discuss your concerns.

Sagittarius November 22 – December 20

Being an instinctive optimist, you’ll sometimes make promises based on what you hope you can do, not on what’s realistic. While you’re usually able to juggle commitments and fit everything in, the shakeups triggered in the run up to Monday’s eclipse are bound to complicate matters. The more flexible arrangements are, the better.

Capricorn December 21 – January 18

Usually, when you notice that potentially troublesome matters are brewing in the life of somebody close, you’ll express your concern. Do that, but be aware that between Mercury being retrograde and two eclipses, your observations won’t necessarily be correct and the circumstances in question are bound to change, possibly dramatically, anyway.

Aquarius January 19 – February 17

Discussing the coming eclipsed New Moon is impossible without looking back to the influence of the powerful Aquarius eclipsed Full Moon earlier in the month, on the 7th. Combine the shakeups that occurred then with next Monday’s unexpected events, and what arises will, quite simply, begin a new chapter of your life.

Pisces February 18 – March 19

Although every sign is influenced by the retrograde Mercury and the accompanying confusion, because it accents close alliances, personal and professional, issues with others are likely. While some will be minor, a few could highlight unresolved problems. Discuss these now. You’ll be amazed how easy it is to discuss and move on from them.
