A Dubai summer surprise

Dubai tailoring boutique Stallion Bespoke has launched its first summer line called Katan. Featuring 12 key looks and with a focus on linen and cotton, the collection is bright and light. Each jacket will be specifically tailored to fit different body types and shapes, with the process taking approximately two to four weeks. Prices start at Dh1,300.

“This line is designed for the fashion-savvy men of Dubai who want practical summer outfits. After spending the last three years studying our customers’ needs and purchasing patterns, we have found that even in the peak of heat, the young, aspirational men of Dubai want to remain dapper,” says Jai Sajnani, co-founder.

Katan in Arabic means linen, explains his partner Mayur Sajnani.

“[It] describes the line perfectly through one simple word. The majority of the fabrics used for this line are linen, linen blend or cotton as they prove the most breathable options in the Dubai summer heat. Now our customers can be fashionable and comfortable with their custom summer looks.”

Custom chino shorts, pants and pocket squares can also be specially designed to complete the look.

Smells like a superhero

Jean Paul Gaultier is getting its superhero vibe on for summer. The brand has just launched two limited-edition fragrances: Classique Wonder Woman and Le Male Superman, both iterations of its already existing perfumes. The Superman version has ingredients such as sandalwood, sage and vanilla. Catch a whiff if you can for Dh323 (125ml). Now available.

Themes of summer

Italian menswear brand Corneliani says it has divided its spring-summer collection into three main themes: Sartoria, for those looking for refined tailoring; Savor, for the slightly casual but business-meaning looks; and Light Living, for the muti-functional looks featuring soft and easy fabrics. We can live with that. Now available.

Corum gets Booba-esque

Swiss watchmaker Corum created the Bubble model in the 2000s and completely deconstructed the watch as we knew it. It has since teamed up with a number of artists to create special one-off pieces. Its latest collaboration is with French-Senegalese rapper and entrepreneur Booba who has create three new Bubble models, one of them even featuring the cover of his eighth album, Nero Nemesis.

Travel time

For British clothing brand Jack Wills, summer is going to be all about exploration. All pieces in the collection reflect that theme, whether in decorative items or fabrics or in designs. Think Madras shirts and tropical prints, sand and navy colours. Now available.

Jet-set in style
