Fashion week has just wrapped in Milan and the crowd is moving to Paris for the final leg. A lot has happened over the last fortnight, including dogs on the runway, severed heads and royalty!

Find out what the most trending fashion week moments are:

Dolce & Gabbana’s drone devotion

As the doors of the mocked-up church facade opened at the Dolce & Gabbana show, out flew a series of drones. Each carried one of the fashion house’s leather handbags of the season. With this, the designing duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana again showed their mastery of marketing and making an entrance.

Gucci models walk the runway — with replica severed heads

During Gucci’s unveiling of its autumn and winter collection on Wednesday, at least two models — one male, one female — walked the runway carrying eerily realistic replicas of their own heads.

“Severed heads are SOOOOO next season!” tweeted fashion blogger Joshwa Saint James. The company worked on the heads for six months by making moulds of the model’s heads, then using three-dimensional printing to create the actual replicas, according to Vogue.

Anna Wintour sit front row with Queen Elizabeth

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour had a front-row seat next to Queen Elizabeth II during London Fashion Week earlier this month at Richard Quinn’s catwalk show. Wintour was widely criticised, however, for not removing her sunglasses. I asked myself... Should one remove them in the presence of the world’s most revered royal?

Intuition suggests yes, but the palace says just be yourself and be courteous. So if Wintour wants to keep her sunnies on, let her keep her sunnies on. Previously, Wintour’s front-row fashion show seatmates have included Oprah Winfrey, David Beckham and Kim Kardashian.

The year of Dog at Tods

Fashion models walked the runway of Tod’s 2018/19 autumn-winter show in Milan, with the best accessory on their arms. Little puppies. Audience members were in for a lovely surprise, as the little pups stole the show in the arms of supermodels like Gigi Hadid, her sister Bella hadid, and Liu Wen, just to name a few. Caramel hues and other warm colours made up the new Tods collection.
