Rohit Bal is returning to The Glam Closet with his autumn-winter 2016 menswear and womenswear to Dubai on October 22 at Taj Dubai.

This collection is “an amalgamation of two distinct cultures and thought processes, that of Russian grandeur and the almost austere craftsmanship of my absolute true love, Kashmir,” the Indian designer said in a press statement. “Here, rich golds meet fine silk threads. Zardozi meets fine Kashmiri Kaani, crewel work and petit point and chain stitch.”

In the collection, Bal has used handwoven fabrics, including handcrafted muslin, chanderi, silk and silk velvets with intricate hand embroidery, block printing shibori hand crinkling and organic dyes.

Bal will present his capsule collection along with a handcrafted crystal ware collection by the artisans and crystal cutters of Czech Republic, Slovakia and Central Europe. The designs, shapes, motifs are all in classic Rohit Bal styles from lotus gardens to dancing peacocks. This collection varies from limited edition tableware to collectible ornamental objects that include bowls, vases, tea sets, platters, salvers, vases and urns. The borders and bases have been crafted in 24K gold and platinum.
