Hussein Bazaza
You can now get your hands on the designs of an award-winning regional designer. Bazaza was the winner of the first Style.com/Arabia Fashion Prize, an award in association with the Dubai Design and Fashion Council, and his pieces are now available via Farfetch. (That’s the website that’s kind of like the Deliveroo for global boutiques, getting you stuff from stores you can’t access. The panelled full midi skirt is Dh3,689 and the lace cropped top is Dh726). The Cadillac Design Challenge was won by Bahraini designer Hind Matar with her layered maxi dress, also on Farfetch. Think you have what it takes to win? Virtual Style Pod
The virtual style pod opens at Abu Dhabi's Galleria mall on May 4.
Fashion meets technology in more ways than one this weekend, when The Galleria on Al Maryah Island brings back its style pod — this time with more designers. Get your body mapped in 3D then have a 360-degree view of the outfits on offer — chose from items in the spring-summer collections by brands such as Berluti, Carolina Herrera, Diesel, DKNY, Emporio Armani, Ermenegildo Zegna , Etoile La Boutique, Faconnable, Fendi, Hogan, Kenzo, La Martina, Lanvin, Liu Jo, Paul Smith, Pinko, Ralph Lauren, Sacoor Brothers, Tom Ford, and Tommy Hilfiger. It runs from May 4-July 17.

Designers POP UP
Head to the Palm's Golden Mile for fashion markets every Thursday and Friday until June.
Get ready for six weeks of fashion at The Golden Mile Galleria on Palm Jumeirah, as a community-focused fashion market begins its run this weekend. Designers POP UP was created to support local entrepreneurs, fashion designers and artists (it’s an extension of the online portal, markatme.com). It runs on Thursdays and Friday from April 28-June 3, 4-9pm (Thursdays) 2-9pm (Fridays) at the outdoor area (enjoy it while you can!) in front of Zaroob Restaurant. Even better: There are free beauty treats and finger food, and activities for the kids.
