Designer: Varoin Marwah
Label: Varoin Marwah

Collection notes: “The human race is forever divided into many sectors on the basis of race, religion, financial strata and others. This collection is a reminder of how important it is for us humans to understand that the unity in our diversity is our true strength. I visualise our differences as black and white, therefore this is my way of showcasing how our differences not only blend yet compliment each other so beautifully and strongly. Hence I call this collection One.”

Designer: Kristina Fidelskaya
Label: Kristina Fidelskaya

Collection notes: “Citing the notion of freedom as a source of inspiration, Kristina has communicated her vision through playing with different styles and textures, even the colours are not artificial but soft. The motif, sculptured in the bell sleeves becomes a decorative element for the dresses and coats. Flowy dresses, trumpet sleeves shirts, oversized coats, also served as a reminder that this was a collection designed with freedom in mind.”

Designer: Andraya Farrag
Label: Bedouin

Collection notes: Called carpe noctem, which means Live By The Night, the collection is inspired by the galaxy. Using metallic jacquards that resemble the skies, we have created bomber jackets and parkas adorned with bold text embroidery reading, ‘Stay Wild Moon Child’ and ‘Non desistas non exeiris’, meaning don’t give up, don’t surrender. This collection is all about evoking a strong, yet positive message rewinding to the late 80s and early 90s taking note of astrology, the planet and the solar system. Rather than focusing on one particular culture, Carpe Noctem is a celebration of the diversity of the planet and the magic that surrounds it.”
