Lucky charms!

This new range is so gift-worthy, we had to share it for those of you who are already planning their festive treats. The architecture-inspired Wheels of Fortune range of diamond-dotted 18k gold charms celebrates dreams, happiness, love, friendship and fortune in five circular designs — with the symbolism of the wheel, both in spirituality and design, playing a role. Find them at Tanagra stores and uboldicharms.com. From Dh2,790 for the Wheel of Happiness, pictured.

Rodial Banana Powder

Can one powder compact sculpt and define, correct redness and under-eye circles and mattify? If it can do everything it say on the tin, then we will be seriously impressed by this launch. The brand says it stays put all day, once applied over foundation; get more highlighting by leaving it on for 10 minutes, then sweeping off excess. It’s Dh360 at Paris Gallery, Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdale’s and House of Fraser.

Hershesons extensions

These might be great for that Kim Kardashian West Halloween costume — or just for everyday: Hershesons has debuted its human hair extensions in the UAE, and you don’t have to sit for hours to have them glued in, either. The ten-piece clip-in set (Dh1,395) makes hair thicker as well as longer, and has a variety of sizes to fit around the head. There’s also a one-piece set (Dh295), which is 45cm long and 30cm wide. The hair can be blow dried, curled, straightened, coloured and styled like your own hair. They also promise the hair is ethically sourced. Find it at Sephora (at Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates and Citywalk), basharacare.com and beautysolutions-me.com.

Lush’s eco-friendly store

The ethically minded beauty company is nearing 1,000 stores with its latest opening, at Dubai’s City Walk. The brand says its new store, which is also its biggest in the country, is eco-friendly, too (reclaimed wood shelving, Forest Stewardship Council certified timber, low volatile organic compound paint, LED lighting, environmentally friendly floor tiles, low flow tap devices and energy efficient air conditioning). It stocks skin care, hair care, as well as the legendary bath bombs and bubble bars (all vegetarian and unpackaged). There’s also an on-site Hair Lab, where there will be demonstrations, the Gorilla Perfume Gallery, and should you want to have an event, there is a private party room, too (organised events include Beauty School and Fun & Games).
