Beauty lovers all over the UAE are never too far from the international make-up brands, thanks to worldwide shipping offered by many online stores. If desperation strikes, there are also parcel forwarding services that will help you buy from brands that don’t deliver to the region.

However, there is something extra special about walking into a brick-and-mortar store and walking out with a bag of products. This is especially important when buying lipsticks or foundations that need to match the skin. With my fingers crossed, let’s talk about make-up brands that I hope will one day come to the UAE.

Glossier

In my humble opinion, no beauty brand in the last five years has marketed itself to millennials better than Glossier. It’s cool, edgy and down-to-earth all at the same time — all with a dose of millennial pink packaging. Glossier’s make-up line is small and basic, but all very covetable.

Bite Beauty

This brand only does lip products, and from the many reviews I have read, they do them well. The branding is modern and chic, and the lip colours contain natural and organic ingredients. One product of theirs I have been craving is The Multistick — a lightweight colour that can be used on lips, eyes and cheeks.

Colourpop

It was recently announced that this online-only make-up brand would be launching in Sephora stores in the US. Could this mean good news for us Sephora addicts in the UAE? We’ll just have to see.

It Cosmetics

A number of my favourite beauty bloggers swear by this brand’s Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream, which is high on my make-up wishlist. Like Glossier, it features a dedicated skincare line along with make-up that claims to be formulated with anti-ageing ingredients.
