Former One Direction star Niall Horan will head to Dubai for a golf tournament at the beginning of 2018.
Horan will attend the Omega Dubai Desert Classic golf tournament at Emirates Golf Club, which takes place from January 25 until January 28.
The singer, who recently released his first solo album Flicker, will not be putting his voice on show in the UAE — rather his love of sport. The singer will fly in for the ProAm on January 24 with his friend, professional golfer Rory McIlroy. McIlroy won the tournament in 2009 and 2015 and will again compete this year.
Horan said he’s delighted to confirm his attendance, and that he will be participating in a Constellation Clinic on the 26th to soak up tips from McIllroy and fellow golfer Paige Spiranac.
“Thanks to Omega and Golf in Dubai for the invite, I’ve not been to Dubai for a while so very much looking forward to returning,” said Horan, who performed with One Direction at the Rugby Sevens stadium in 2015.
One fan will have the chance to win a trip to Dubai to attend the tournament and play with Horan and McIlroy.
