Here comes a Tamil film that promises action and adventure in an Indiana Jones style.
Indrajith is director Kalaa Prabhu’s second film after Sakkarakatti. Gautham Karthik plays the title role.
Prabhu, son of noted producer Kalaipuli Thanu, says that Indrajith is a student who believes in viewing every problem from the outside to find its solution.
“He is a risk-taker and is in search of a treasure, something that belongs universally and will benefit humanity,” Prabhu said.
Playing his mentor in this story is Marathi actor Sachin Khedekar.
Working with Khedekar was a delight and he has justified his character, Prabhu added.
“He never looked at the monitor after his shots unlike other actors. He trusted me completely,” he said.
Bollywood’s Sudanshu Pandey plays a high-profile officer from the Archaeological Survey of India. Pandey earlier worked in two Tamil films — Billa 2 and Megamann.
Ashrita Shetty and Sonarika Bhadoria play the female leads.
Indrajith was shot in parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Goa, Hyderabad and Shillong.
With the trailers showcasing spectacular visuals of deep ravines, rushing rapids and a lush landscape, coupled with dare devil action stunts, Indrajith carries great expectations.
Indrajith releases in the UAE on November 23.
