While the jury is still out on whether Bollywood teenage star kids such as Suhana Khan, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, or Sridevi’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor should be subjected to intense media scrutiny and paparazzi madness, there’s a pint-sized brigade who are gaining a sizeable fan following of their own.

A few on this list aren’t even potty-trained, but they still live under the public glare and aren’t fazed by it all.

Their currency is just their incredible cuteness and their soaring popularity suggests that the future could belong to these reluctant tiny stars.

Gulf News tabloid! takes a look at some of the star children who are likely to ride the social media wave soon.

Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi

Age: Six months old

What’s in a name, you ask? Well, a whole lot if you happen to be Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi. The bonny child was born into controversy, when some took offense to his name. A section of Indians did not approve of the name picked by his parents — Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan — as it matched the name of a Persian emperor who had orchestrated the mass murder of Hindus. His parents held their ground and now the baby is being lauded for his angelic chubbiness.

Aradhya Bachchan

Age: Five years old

Understandably, the Bachchan dynasty tried to shield Aaradhya from prying cameramen and journalists.

But in the last couple of years, her parents — former Miss World and actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and actor Abhishek Bachchan — have reluctantly loosened up. Aaradhya, who always accompanies her mother to the Cannes Film Festival every year, has even learnt to strike a pose when in a good mood. She is learning from the best and it shows. Both Aishwarya and Aaradhya make an adorable duo before her mother’s red carpet turn at Cannes. Of late, she has also been spotted with her grandfather, Amitabh Bachchan, greeting thousands of Bollywood fans who gather outside her grandfather’s home, Jalsa, in Mumbai.

Misha Kapoor

Age: 11 months

She turns one in a month, but Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s daughter has already made her way into magazines and news websites. The pictures of her dancing along with her dad are adorable.

AbRam Khan

Age: Four years old

If there was a trophy for the most camera-friendly face, then Shah Rukh Khan’s son would win hands down. Whether it’s accompanying his father at cricket matches or making silly faces, AbRam is always a good sport. Our favourite moment is him interrupting his father’s broadcast interview because his finger was hurt and he needed some TLC from his doting dad.
