Randeep Hooda and Sunny Leone with Splash CEO Raza Beig.

Bollywood stars Sunny Leone and Randeep Hooda, who featured in the thriller Jism 2, joined hands again in Dubai on May 25 for a photo shoot for a local fashion retailer.

They are the new faces of Splash in India, a brand that is popular for its budget-friendly, but stylish clothes.

“There are certain things that give you the feeling of such immense pride. I know my journey — from where I have come from and where I have reached. This is such a moment… Splash is so mainstream and commercial a brand,” said Leone, on the sidelines of the photo shoot. Gulf News tabloid! was given exclusive access to the filming sets in which we saw Hooda’s new look. Sporting a thick moustache and fierce facial fuzz, Hooda was in the midst of playing a Sikh warrior in a period epic and was intent on maintaining that look for the photo shoot.

“I enjoy the process of my work — more than the recognition or rewards it gets. For instance, the experience of playing Sarabjit — going through that torture and agony — was an enriching experience,” said Hooda, referring to his role in the movie Sarbjit, which was based on the life of Sarabjit Singh, an Indian farmer who was convicted of charges of terrorism and spying in Pakistan and was sentenced to death.

But Raza Beig, Splash CEO, has tapped into their collective charm and potential.

“Sunny is really a baby doll. She’s stunning and is ideal for our customer base. And as far Randeep Hooda is concerned, he’s a handsome stud. He has a unique style that resonates with our customers,” said Beig.

While Hooda and Leone have joined the Splash India family, Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif continue to be the global ambassadors for Splash.
