Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar says he has plans for making a romantic drama movie.
“I don’t need to convince myself whether I will do a love story. If I get a chance, I will definitely jump into making it. I have a plan of making a romantic film very soon but will announce it later,” Sircar said.
However, the Piku director said making hard-hitting films comes easier to him.
“Emotion is a sensitive thing and you need to be careful when you display the purity of a relationship onscreen,” he added.
Asked who he wants to cast in the film, Sircar said: “Ranbir Kapoor or Varun Dhawan, Deepika [Padukone] or Alia [Bhatt]. I want to work with all of them.”
The filmmaker, who is riding high on the success of his latest release Pink, said he is overwhelmed with the love the film has received.
“’No means no’, this line was so powerful and people have accepted that fact. I consider my film as a hit when people accept it wholeheartedly and not just in terms of money. Pink is very special for me. It’s unbelievable that Pink is [still] running in theatres and is going to be premiered on television at the same time,” he said.
