Television actress Shilpa Shinde, of Bhabhiji fame, won reality show Bigg Boss season 11 on Sunday.
After a long battle that lasted more than three months inside the house, four participants made it to the grand finale — Shinde, Hina Khan, Puneesh Sharma and Vikas Gupta.
Host Salman Khan announced the name of the winner. Actor Akshay Kumar was also present to promote his upcoming film Padman.
“I still can’t believe it has happened. I think if people made me a winner it is because they got to see my real personality,” said Shinde.
Although Shinde believes her celebrity status was not the only reason for her win, an incident at a shopping mall reflected otherwise.
When the four participants were campaigning for votes from a live audience, an alleged group of Shinde’s fans attacked Khan.
The evictions on the final episode began with Sharma, followed by Gupta. And as expected, there was a tough fight between the two popular television actress, Khan and Shinde, with the former coming out on top.
The finale episode started on a grand note with the performance of Khan’s latest hit Tiger Zinda Hai’s theme song, and he was joined by all four finalists. Kumar, along with two of evicted participants — Dhinchak Pooja and Sapna Choudhary — also performed.
