Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has come out in support of her actor-uncle Rishi Kapoor over reports of him misbehaving with media persons and fans during Ganesh festival.
A video surfaced online purportedly showing Kapoor and his actor-brother Randhir Kapoor slapping and pushing a few media persons and fans during the immersion of their Ganesh idol on September 15.
“I don’t know what happened that day. There must have been something for him to be upset. Otherwise, I don’t think a man of his stature would lose his cool. I think something would have happened,” said Kapoor Khan.
“He is a very senior man and an intelligent person. He knows what he is doing. Obviously, something would have triggered that [reaction]. There were so many people and it was raining,” she added.
However, the Ki and Ka actress had nothing to say about her father Randhir, who also features in the video.
The incident occurred when members of the Kapoor family were on their way to immerse the idol in the sea near Shivaji Park in Dadar, Central Mumbai.
Kapoor has said the video in question has been tweaked to show them in bad light and he will take legal action against the person behind it.
