A day after Salman Khan’s first look from Race 3 was unveiled, it was time for Jacqueline Fernandez’s Jessica to make an appearance from the thriller, which is being filmed in Abu Dhabi.

Khan unveiled Fernandez’s first look on Twitter, sharing an image of the actress, as he posted: “Jessica: Raw power.”

While Fernandez has appeared in a previous instalment of Race, this is Khan’s first outing in the franchise where he plays racer Sikander.

Directed by Remo D’souza, Race 3 also stars Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem and Anil Kapoor.

Co-presented by Tips Films and Salman Khan Films, Race 3 is produced by Ramesh S. Taurani.

Also shot in Bangkok and Mumbai, the third instalment of the Race franchise is slated to release in June at Eid this year.

The film’s 35-day shoot in six locations across Abu Dhabi has already begun, with Khan returning to the UAE capital last week, just six months after he wrapped up filming Tiger Zinda Hai.

Race 3 will film at Emirates Palace, Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi, the St Regis Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), Emirates Steel and Liwa Desert, according to twofour54.

In a statement earlier, Khan said: “It is wonderful to be back in Abu Dhabi, which is such an incredible filming location. Last year, we spent much of our 70-day shoot for Tiger Zinda Hai on the city’s incredible backlot, so it will be exciting to explore more of the emirate with Race 3 as we shoot across six locations.

“The emirate features lovely locales providing incredible versatility for filmmakers. In addition to this, we receive world-class support from twofour54, the local crews, the fans, and the government.”

The film also sees the return of Hollywood stunt director Tom Struthers who, in collaboration with Anl Arasu — India’s leading action director — will enlist the help of the UAE Armed Forces. Struthers also supported Tiger Zinda Hai last year.

Military support will include helicopters, trucks, military vehicles and Humvees. Additionally, the production’s complexity requires the use of two separate crews — one dedicated for stunts and one working on the rest of the film’s scenes.
