Mumbai: Director Abhishek Kapoor, whose last film, Fitoor, did not do well at the box office, says for him filmmaking is a humbling experience and he does not give much importance to the results.

“For me, filmmaking is a very humbling experience. I chase an idea that I would like to watch and I choose to work with people who will respect me,” Kapoor told PTI.

Kapoor made his directorial debut with Aryan and followed it up with critically acclaimed Rock On!!, written by Farhan Akhtar, and Kai Po Che, but his last film was not a success.

“I put in lot of hard work in my films. Irrespective of the outcome of the film, the journey while working on the film has been interesting and satisfying.”

The 45-year-old writer-director has begun work on his next film, which starts filming in 2017.

“I am working on a couple of ideas. I don’t know what I will zero in on as there are 3-4 scripts that I am working on and all are different. I can’t give out details till I finalise one.”

Kapoor and Akhtar have not been on speaking terms ever since a controversy erupted over the script of Rock On 2, but during the trailer launch of the movie last week, Akhtar had said he misses Kapoor, and that he was, is and will always remain a friend.

On this, Kapoor said: “I love him very much.”
