Armaan Malik will be headlining the Desi Fiesta festival that will be held at the Dubai Media City Amphitheatre on October 27. The Bollywood singer will be one of three singers who will showcase their talent on the night, with organisers planning on announcing the next act later this week.
Speaking with Gulf News tabloid!, Noman Mamajiwala, Creative Director, NEP Events said: “We are planning an event that will compete on the level with international acts — much along the lines of Red Fest DXB. With Desi Fiesta, we are planning to announce two other singers after Armaan Malik, along with two dance acts that have been popular at award shows.”
Malik, whose biggest hits include Main Hoon Hero Tera (Hero), Besabriyaan (MS Dhoni), Sau Aasmaan (Baar Baar Dekho), commands a large fan-following with the millennials, who organisers hope will come out in droves to catch the singer perform live.
The event will also include food trucks, with limited VIP table seating. Tickets will be sold in phases, with the first one already launched at Dh65; the second phase will see the prices rise to Dh85 and a third one will take them to Dh125.
