Running high on emotions, the trailer of filmmaker Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil released on Friday.
The film, which stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Fawad Khan and Anushka Sharma, centres on love, friendship and heartbreak.
The more than two-minute trailer begins with a close-up of Kapoor, declaring, “Love tedha hai.[Love is crooked]” A friendship with Sharma follows. The actor’s chemistry with Rai Bachchan is the highlight of the trailer.
The background score, Bulleya, enchants throughout the trailer. Another track, Cutiepie, also features in the trailer.
The trailer concludes with a strong dialogue mouthed by Kapoor: “Ajeeb kahani hai pyaar aur dosti ki ... pyaar humara hero, dosti humari heroine” [It’s a strange story about love and friendship ... love is the hero, friendship the heroine.]
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil releases in India on October 28.
