Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will return as the host of popular reality show Bigg Boss in its upcoming ninth season, Colors channel has confirmed.

“Colors welcomes #BhajrangiBhaijaan @BeingSalmanKhan to #biggboss9 Presented by @Snapdeal Powered by @Oppomobileindia This October @ColorsTV,” Colors CEO Raj Nayak tweeted.

In fact, the actor is already shooting a promo for the new season in Mumbai on Friday.

Salman, 49, was also the show’s host last season, but later stepped down from its extended edition Bigg Boss Halla Bol which was hosted by choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan due to film commitments.

Rumours that Salman might not return to the show due to his busy schedule had followed.

The Dabangg star has hosted a four seasons of the show, which is an Indian version of Celebrity Big Brother. The show involves celebrity contestants locked inside a purpose-built house for three months under constant camera surveillance

On the film front, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor is currently promoting his production Hero and will next be seen in Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.
