There has been a lot of speculation around Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s relationship, but the actor’s Tamasha co-star Deepika Padukone says his marriage is in her hands.

“Ranbir can’t get married till I allow it,” Padukone said jokingly.

Kapoor and Padukone dated for a year and they still share an amicable relationship.

Kapoor then added, “It’s a very big question about my life. I completely believe in the institution of marriage. When I get married, I will let the whole world know about it.”

Imtiaz Ali’s Tamasha is Kapoor and Padukone’s third film together after Bachna Ae Haseeno and Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.

The co-stars took a train ride from Mumbai to Delhi to promote their upcoming film, which is slated to hit UAE cinemas on November 26.

Kapoor and Padukone started their career in 2008 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Om Shanti Om, respectively.

“It feels just like yesterday. I saw Deepika outside the Saawariya sets walking across to the Om Shanti Om set. Eight years have passed and we have no idea [how it went by]. We have worked hard and reached the point we have desired in our lives,” Kapoor said.

For Padukone, Kapoor is still the same person that she met eight years ago.

“It’s a very unique situation. We have heard about actors debuting in the same year but actors debuting on the same day is something which does not happen normally. I hope he never changes. But it has been an amazing journey,” she said.
