Celebrity Cruises, the premium cruise line of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCL), has launched its maiden cruise from Abu Dhabi on November 28, as part of a three-month-long home port deployment at Zayed Port’s Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal.

Celebrity Constellation is one of three Abu Dhabi originating cruise departures in the 2016/17 season. The 295-metre, 91,000-ton vessel with a capacity for 2,170 guests in 975 staterooms on 13 decks, will sail nine-, 12- 14- and 15-night cruises covering five ports-of-call until the end of January 2017. The itinerary includes calls at Dubai, Muscat in Oman and along the west coast of India, appealing to visitors primarily from the USA, UK, Germany as well as guests from Scandinavia, Southern Africa, China and the Far East.

The next cruise departs Abu Dhabi on December 10, which is a nine-night cruise. On December 19 will be a signature sailing (including New Year fireworks in Dubai) and is a 14-night cruise calling into Muscat, Kochi, Mangalore, Goa, Mumbai, Dubai and back to Abu Dhabi. Prices start $1,400 (Dh5,142) per person on double sharing basis in a balcony stateroom.
