Trains

This year you will find trains carrying visitors from the parking lots to the main entrance (Gate of the World). There are three trains with each accommodating 60 people in four carriages, one of which is exclusively for visitors with baby trolleys and those in wheelchairs. The service is complimentary.

World Avenue

It is the retail hub of the village. Massive replicas of landmarks such as Burj Khalifa, Statue of Liberty, Big Ben, Sydney Opera House, Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Eiffel Tower and Egyptian Pyramids lend a global appeal to the shopping destination. Besides being a hotspot for photo shoots, the World Avenue hosts a number of branded retailers like Kalyan Jewellers, Grand Bazaar, Healthy Massage Palace and Be One Supermarket among others.

Main Cultural Stage

The main cultural stage has been revamped and features a state-of-the-art audio and video system. We are talking about three 6X3-metre LED screens with special sound and lighting systems that are guaranteed to heighten your audio-visual experience of the stage shows featuring artists from around the world. You don’t have to be in the front row to soak it all up.

Japan

For the first time, Japan has a pavilion of its own at the Village featuring 55 exhibitors. So if you have been thinking of owning a kimono or picking up some unique ukiyo-e artworks, then this is the perfect place for you.

Gate of the World

Global Village has built the biggest entrance with 40 turnstile gates and a separate counter for VIP ticket holders. Designed in an Arabesque theme with five brightly lit structured domes, the ‘Gate of the World’ is itself a landmark. The entire structure is 120 metres wide and 20 metres high.

Project Dirham (Dubai LogoStructure)

As part of a community initiative, 15,000 students from 70 schools have painted and embellished four UAE symbols that are inspired by the UAE Dirham coin: the falcon, dhow, dallah and oryx. These paintings have all been placed inside 3.2 x 10 metre art installations forming the Dubai logo.

Dreams

A stage show that revolves around a little child with big dreams inspired by the 1001 Arabian Nights. Featuring breathtaking special effects, Dreams will take you on an adventure in which bandits, genies, storms, magic carpets and princesses all come together in one unforgettable spectacle. Must-see for the entire family.

Roman Amphitheatre

Built in the middle of the Village, this new amphitheatre will host over 12,000 cultural shows and events over five months. The amphitheatre with a seating capacity of 500 people brings relief to the already busy main cultural stage that hosts an average six shows every day.

Fiestaval

Five festivals from around the world come together in one mesmerising production, featuring street actors, performers, lights, colours and fireworks. The festivals – Day of the Dead from Mexico, Ice Festival from Russia, Mask from Venice, the Lights Festival from Thailand and Holi from India – will bring you a carnival of different themes, cultures and costumes.

Russia

From the famous onion dome statues to the popular Matryoshka dolls, ladle spoons, samovars – it is all about Russia when you enter this pavilion which has over 80 exhibitors and kiosks.
