An Arabic version of reality show Bad Snappers has made its debut on Comedy Central Arabia. Featuring female comedians Rima Iskandarani and Frial Abdelrazak, the 60-second sketches deal with social media use and misuse.

The original Bad Snappers, which won Breakthrough Web Series at the Funny Women Awards in the UK in March, debuted across multiple international markets last year with female comedians Georgie Fuller and Danni Jackson infiltrating Comedy Central’s International YouTube and Facebook pages. The short-form, digital only series drew in 16 million views across all Comedy Central platforms to date.

“Increasingly, we are taking Viacom’s ‘glocal’ strategy and applying it to our short form content, meaning that we are taking global hits and infusing them with local flavour by creating original versions in regions around the world,” said Claire McArdle, vice president of multiplatform, Comedy Central International. “We are thrilled that the team in the Middle East is spotlighting these hilarious female comedians who will undoubtedly connect with viewers over their amazingly bad social media etiquette.”

The sketches are available on social media now.
