A galaxy far, far away will be celebrated at the 14th Dubai International Film Festival (Diff), with a special cosplay event planned to coincide with the screening of the closing film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Fans attending the red carpet screening can dress up as their favourite Star Wars character and win prizes on the night, which includes the Sphero App-Enabled BB-9E, a BB-8 and the R2-D2 droid.
Also up for grabs is the Star Wars First Order Stormtrooper Robot by UBTech; an interactive robot that features voice command, facial recognition, sentry patrolling and AR capabilities.
In Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the heroes of The Force Awakens join the galactic Skywalker legends in an epic adventure that unlocks age-old mysteries of the Force and revelations of the past. The movie stars Mark Hamill, the late Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, among others.
It is written and directed by Rian Johnson.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi screens at Diff on December 13 at 8pm at the Madinat Arena. The film opens in UAE cinemas for late night screenings on the same evening, with a full day schedule from the following day.
