The women-centric Egyptian film Withered Green screens at Diff365@Vox in Mall of the Emirates from October 19 to November 1.
The low-budget debut tells the story of Iman, a conservative young woman, who must care for her younger sister, Noha, after the death of their parents. Iman decides to go against patriarchal tradition when a suitor comes for Noha.
Director Mohammad Hammad walked away with the best director accolade at Dubai International Film Festival’s Muhr Awards last year. The film stars Heba Ali and Asmaa Fawzi.
