Renault is keeping up with its offensive in the SUV-S segment by launching the new phase of the “roomy and sturdy” Duster in the GCC.
The upgraded Duster is available in the UAE for a starting price of Dh49,900.
“The new Duster gets an even stronger character while retaining its initial DNA and same price” said Hakim Boutehra, Renault Middle East Managing Director.
The look
Upgrade to the front-end of the vehicle includes a redesigned grille with two chrome-plated strips and a new lower air intake. Double-optic headlights with daytime running lights have also been added.
With new additional metallic paints, comet grey and cosmos blue, the new Renault SUV is now available in eight colors and is delivered with topnotch technology.
The vehicle also carries Duster-labeled chrome-plated roof bars and 16” alloy wheels. Adding to the SUV’s look are rear lights blocks and chromed door mirrors and exhaust pipe.
What’s inside?
The interior of the new Duster includes various new elements such as front electric windows with driver’s one touch control, speed sensitive door locking, ISOFIX mounting points for child seat, and two new accessible storages on the dashboard.
The new dashboard includes Media Nav navigation system with 7-inch touch screen, 2D and 3D bird view navigation, audio streaming with Bluetooth, menu and voice guidance are available in Arabic or English.
Steering wheel controls, a cruise control and a speed limiter are also added features.
The new beige upholstery and interior trim are now standard all across the range.
Safety and performance
The new Renault Duster has highly noise efficient absorption fittings and improved sound proofing, Managing Director Boutehra said.
New Renault Duster is equipped with front driver and passenger airbags, driver seatbelt unlock alarm, three points rear seatbelts, three rear headrests, in addition to emergency braking assistance. Electronic Stability Program is available as an option on all equipment levels.
The vehicle has aseating capacity for five adults and a 475-litre bootspace, which can expand to 1,636 litres if the rear benchseat is folded. The new Duster is fitted with a 2.0L 16V 135 HP engine and automatic gearbox.
