Seafood is somehow even better when enjoyed with a sea view, isn’t it?

That’s why we’re really excited about the opening of MAINE Oyster Bar & Grill at the DoubleTree by Hilton on JBR. It’s inspired by the seafood of New England and is the brainchild of Montreal “gastropreneur” Joey Ghazal and head chef Liam Breen. There’s an oyster raw bar, crudo, ceviche and other seafood. But, says Ghazal, “the MAINE Oyster Bar & Grill is more than just seafood. Our family-style menu has everything from grilled steak, chops and a variety of vegetarian dishes as well as fish that is grilled on live charcoal. Our long-bar also offers a perfect informal area to enjoy an after-work drink and light meal, or head out to the terrace for sundowners with a seaside view.”

The menu has small, large and sharing plates — the likes of oysters, clam chowder; steak frites. It’s open daily for lunch and dinner, and for Friday and Saturday brunch (Saturday-Wednesday, noon-midnight; Thursday and Friday, noon-1am); there’s also valet. Call 04-4576719.
