Carluccio’s does brunch

The Italian restaurant does its first brunch on Friday and Saturday at the Eastern Mangroves outlet in Abu Dhabi. The four-hour meal (from Dh175) has a breakfast menu alongside the restaurant’s signatures such as calamari fritters, arancini, two types of pizza, homemade pasta dishes and meat and veggie mains. Desserts include tiramisu, pannacotta and gelato; all the food is served family style at the table. The licenced restaurant has packages from Dh175-295. Call 02-6412231. Meanwhile, all the Carluccio’s across the UAE have added five new limited edition pizzas: creamy gorgonzola with butternut squash, pine nuts and honey; grilled chicken with sweet and spicy peppers and layered avocado; calamari, mussels and whole prawns; and roast lamb feast with caramelised onions, creme fraiche, feta, rosemary and mint. Prices start at Dh46 and they are available until December 1.

 

Dubai Festival City celebrates

Their Festival of Flavours (October 5-22). DJs, cooking demonstrations, giant games and face painting for kids and radio roadshows take place during mall hours. The Fatafeat cooking channel will be live at the mall on the October 7 and 8 with celebrity chefs and cooking demonstrations.

 

Taste Kitchen on the Palm Jumeirah

Taste Kitchen, opened its third location in the Golden Mile Galleria on The Palm Jumeirah. The new opening comes with new dishes, which will be rolled out to the other locations (Silicon Oasis and Mercato Mall) shortly. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, from 9am-11pm (until midnight Friday and Saturday). Must-try dishes, if you haven’t already been, are the roast salmon fillet on a bed of cucumber with a dill sauce (that you’ll want to put on everything); the highest-piled avocado toast we’ve seen, and the daily soups.
