Abu Dhabi: The Holy month of Ramadan is marked with intense prayers, dawn to dusk fasting and generous giving. It is also the time for grand iftars and long relaxed evenings with friends and families.What better way to enjoy the Ramadan evenings than unwind at a sprawling tent that dishes out a sumptous feast and great entrainment all night!

Iftar in the Sky

Experience iftar in the world’s highest suspended hotel suite at St Regis Abu Dhabi!

Sitting at 200 metres high between the Nation Towers’ 48th and 49th floor, the majestic Abu Dhabi suite will be exclusively open for iftars throughout the holy month. The regal suite promises a truly special affair with its awe-inspiring views of the city and the Arabian Gulf, a private VIP elevator, and an extensive iftar buffet boasting a myriad of Arabian delicacies and Ramadan beverages for groups up to 50 guests.

Private iftar buffet menus start at Dhs 300++ per person and a minimum spend of Dhs 10,000++ is required.

Ramadan at the Palace

If you want to enjoy an authentic emirati hospitality, Ramadan pavilion at the Emirates palace is the place to be. Sporting an entirely new design for this year, the pavilion sits on the palace terrace and overlooks the most tranquil of settings. Taking inspiration from folkloric-style décor, the Ramadan pavilion features a fusion of intricate tapestry and ornate fixtures, and floor to ceiling windows with stunning views of the beach.

The pavilion can host up to 800 guests per day, and has an elevated lounge area, six private Majlises and a large open dining area for iftar and suhoor.

In addition to a wide variety of fragrant shishas and traditional Quanun music, there is a culinary treat awaiting guests. The à la carte menus and buffets feature a selection of Arabic mezze, Middle Eastern and International inspired culinary creations and gourmet desserts.

Layali tent at Le Royal Méridien

This is one of the most popular iftar destinations in Abu Dhabi with its traditional atmosphere, a lavish buffet and a tastefully crafted suhoor a la carte menu . A variety of live stations and Arabian-themed live entertainment adds to the attraction at the Layali tent.

An array of hot and cold mezzes and Fateer and traditional saj are just some of the many delicacies on offer which will be prepared directly in front of the guests. Season specialties such as achtaliyeh, kunafa and katayef; Ramadan juices and teas will complete the dessert offerings. A variety of flavoured shisha will also be available to enjoy inside the tent. While a number of live entertainment options will set the mood, including games, large TVs screening popular Ramadan programs, a live Arabic band will entertain guests all night.

Price per person for Iftar Buffet: Dh 149 + 16% until 8.30 pm.

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal

The opulent Ramadan tent overlooking the pool and beach gardens at Ritz Carlton is a perfect place to gather with friends and family. The stunning views of the grand mosque in the evenings truly capture the essence of the season.

The ever changing Iftar menu includes authentic Arabian delicacies and different international flavours throughout the month. Sohour guests will enjoy a customized experience with an a la carte menu including Arabic delicacies that can be savoured to the sounds of the oud and kanoon band.

For the younger guests, the Ramadan tent at Ritz Carlton is also organising a host of supervised activities for kids like henna designs and Crescent Moon craft.

Price per person for Iftar buffet: Dh 220 ++ including local water, specialty juices, coffee tea and assorted desserts.

For Sohour, cover charge of Dh60++ per person applies on week days and Dh80++ per person on Thursday and Friday.
