Food fact: There is not enough ramen in the UAE. Considering it’s one of the most popular and addictive dishes, with an obsessive global following, the dearth here is unusual.

It’s not for a lack of interest, as the people queuing around the block at Tom & Serg’s one-night ramen experiment in March proved. So it’s no surprise the guys at Al Quoz cafe are doing their EAT:RAMEN! pop-up again.

It’s on October 26, at 6pm. Get there early, as it sold out quickly last time.

For Dh130 a head, diners get a gyoza, ramen, salad, dessert and a beverage.

Ramens on offer include shoyu (with charsiu chicken roll, crispy shrimp, boiled egg, chicken seasoning, caramelized shallot oil, and nori), and a vegetarian option.

(Craving ramen in the meantime? Our pick is the chicken ramen at Sushi, the tiny Japanese restaurant in the Grand Hyatt.)
