Dubai: A new culinary concept in Dubai aims to make guests feel at home, quite literally.

The Restaurant at Address at The Address Boulevard is built around the principle of allowing guests to “make themselves at home”, both in terms of interior design and culinary offering.

It’s like stepping into a luxury apartment, with a kitchen, lounge, living room, study room, collection room, library, games room and music room. There’s even a secret private dining room!

The service revolves around the concept of “eat what you want when you want”, with a menu that is available from morning until late.

“The overall experience attempts to engender a sense of warmth and serenity but in a refreshingly unique dining concept,” described Pascal Dupuis, General Manager of Address Boulevard

Carlos Virgile, the architect behind The Restaurant at Address, said that the signature dining space “recreates the feel of an exclusive luxurious home with several interconnecting residential rooms”.

“The idea was to reimagine the predictable hotel eating and socialising experience as a lived-in concept; a place that feels real as a luxury residential setting where the ‘owners’ live, enjoy their surroundings and invite their friends to share their place," Virgile told Gulf News.

“We had great fun imagining the type of person who would live in a place like this, what kind of things he or she would enjoy, their taste in fashion and food, and what art and objects they would prefer to be surrounded with. As in an apartment interior, the layout offers opportunities to sit in the living room, or the study or dining room or the central circular gallery type space for the display of objects and art,” he said.

Which room is his favourite? “I would say the dressing room. The room exhibits fine clothes and accessories making it one of the more intriguing parts of the overall outlet,” he said.

In terms of culinary offering, what can diners expect?

Executive Chef Rick Gonzalez said the reinterpreted menu takes inspiration from Europe and the Mediterranean.

“Our menu is available from morning until late and gives guests the flexibility to essentially eat what they want at whatever time suits them,” Gonzalez said, “each dish represents a home-away-from-home concept”.
