In this day and age of information explosion thanks to twitter and facebook, it’s impossible to keep anything a secret for long.

That’s the case for the Zee team in the Middle East, who are trying to keep the Zee Cine Awards 2013 winner list a mystery until its official telecast. Guess they didn’t count on the stars who won tweeting about their awards, unrestrained.

From the tweets gathered, it’s evident that Barfi! scooped several awards, with star Priyanka Chopra issuing a string of thank-yous. “Missed bein on stage with team Barfi when they got best film as I was super late to catch my flt..But congrats RK,Ileana @basuanurag Ronnie sid, ravi sir,rajat sir for all ur awards!yay! Just the beginning! And congrats to @karanmalhotra21 ,Ajay-Atul, Sonu Nigam, Rishi Kapoor Sir and Ganesh Acharya! Yay team Agneepath.”

Yes, looks like the action remake Agneepath also got several nods, along with thriller Kahaani, according to its director.

Also winning an award was Shah Rukh Khan, who tweeted “To be a winner, the first thing one has to learn is,..’Back Presents are not Prizes’. Long nite...had a great time with Puneet [sic] the Zee boss”.

Zee boss Punit Goenka himself tweeted: “Many congrats to Shah Rukh Khan _@iamsrk on winning the International Icon Award at #ZCA #ZEECineAwards”

The glittering awards ceremony were held in Mumbai on Sunday, with Deepika Padukone, newlyweds Siddharth Roy Kapoor and Vidya Balan, Ranbir Kapoor and Sri Devi attend. The ceremony will be telecast on February 1, 8pm in this region, although Indian viewers will see it nearly two weeks earlier on January 20.
