American actor and stand-up comedian Rob Schneider is coming to the UAE for a stand-up comedy gig dubbed One Man Show.
Schneider will take the stage in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, though the exact locations of the events have yet to be confirmed. A Facebook event created by organisers lists November 12 as one of the dates.
A long-standing Saturday Night Live personality, Schneider has starred in many a Hollywood flick, including the Hot Chick, Benchwarmers, and more recently, Grown Ups.
On SNL, the 51-year-old is known for his recurring roles as The Richmeister, Carlo and the Sensitive Naked Man. He’s also known for his famous impersonations, including one of castmate Billy Crystal and rock legend Elvis Presley.
Like many comics, Schneider has faced criticism for perpetuating racial stereotypes. He was also criticised for donning “yellow face” when he wore prosthetic make-up to play a Japanese character in his film, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.
Tickets for Schneider’s UAE shows have yet to go on sale, but are to be released on tixbox.com.
