Pokemon fans in the UAE, here’s a treat for you with a classical twist. A live orchestra, called Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions, will be performed at the Mother of the Nation Festival on the Abu Dhabi Corniche on March 31.

The musical, which has been performed to sell-out audiences across the world, is a multimedia experience that will guide the audience through a showcase of memorable music from more than 20 years of history of one of the most recognisable video game franchises in the world.

Featuring a live orchestra comprising more than 50 members, the show will be a one-off event that will be performed on the Main Stage of the festival from 7.10pm to 8pm.

“Pokemon was launched in Japan in 1996 and today is one of the most popular and recognisable entertainment properties in the world. As a tribute to the importance of memories forged during childhood, this performance will be part of the Mother of the Nation festival’s extensive programme of events that reflect and uphold the essence of happiness, progress and the inspirational values of Her Highness Shaikha Fatima [Bint Mubarak], and will provide entertainment for families and visitors of all backgrounds,” said Mubarak Al Shamisi, director of Abu Dhabi Events Bureau.

Mother of the Nation Festival runs from March 26 to April 4. Entry is Dh20 for adults. Children under five years go free. More on motn.ae.
